Les CR!S de PAR!S, Capitolo Nuovo

Vocal concert

To mark the end of the last century, les CR!S de PAR!S decided to develop a set of works for a cappella chamber choir in collaboration with young composers, whose only restriction was that their inspiration must come from a sonnet.

Since March 2000, les CR!S de PAR!S’s concert program regularly features works commissioned as part of this initiative. One of the peculiarities of this project was to invite the composers to experiment and dialogue with the performers during the elaboration and rehearsal of their piece. As such, some finished by writing several versions, others by making changes to their original work, many followed les CR!S de PAR!S closely throughout rehearsals and all took part in the production of their sonnet, spoke about the writing process and expressed their vision of its interpretation.
